Our Most Popular Protein Powders (2021):
1. NZ Whey (WPC)
Our most popular product. Made from grass fed New Zealand dairy, our product has a naturally creamy texture and is the best tasting protein.
Whey is a high quality protein powder that's rich in amino acids and Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs). It's fast digesting and easily absorbed by the gut. Whey is highly nutritious and, coupled with its concentrated amino acid profile, is one of the most beneficial dietary sources of protein for muscle growth and repair - especially for pre and post exercise.
2. Whey Protein Isolate (WPI)
WPI is NZ Whey that's been further refined to remove virtually all lactose and fat.
WPI is a concentrated protein powder for muscle development. It has a very strong amino acid profile and is one of the most beneficial dietary sources of protein. It's very easy to digest and absorbs rapidly, making amino acids readily available to be utilised by muscles. It's a very beneficial protein supplement for post exercise when it is able to digest easily without fat to slow absorption.
2a. Value Whey Isolate
The same as above. Value WPI is a cheaper alternative to NZ made whey isolate. Value WPI is a high quality product and comparable alternative for those who don't have money growing on trees. The reality is that NZ milk products are expensive to buy.
3. Pea Protein Isolate
Pea protein isolate is a plant protein with an excellent amino acid profile. It's vegan, hypoallergenic, and alkaline. Whey can cause some people to get bloating and upset stomachs, whereas pea is easily digestible.
Pea is the best vegan protein alternative for those avoiding milk.
4. Beef Protein Isolate
Beef is a hypoallergenic source of protein that's high in naturally occurring collagen and has virtually no fat or carbohydrates. It contains up to 98% protein (unflavoured).
It has a smooth texture and we think it's a better tasting alternative to whey than pea or egg white.
5. Hemp Protein (60%)
Hemp protein powder is a plant protein and nutritional powerhouse! It's a rich source of protein, essential omega fatty acids, dietary fibre, minerals, antioxidants and phyto-nutrients that can benefit your health.
We give it our #1 best overall protein for smoothies (for both vegans and non-vegans).
6. Meal Replacement Shake (MRP)
Our MRP is a superfood blend and formulated meal or smoothie booster. A formulated meal is a legal term for a product that contains protein, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals. It can be used at anytime of the day to replace meals.
It's plant based and packed full of key superfood ingredients. It's a much higher quality MRP than others available on the market and this is reflected in the ingredients list.
7. NZ Micellar Casein
Casein is slow digesting protein that's most commonly used as a night-time protein or for other sustained periods without food.
It's grass fed too and can often work better in baking than whey as it doesn't dry out.
8. Egg White Protein
Eggs are a great source of protein, particularly the egg whites, as they have a high amino acid profile and are virtually fat-free.
Egg white protein is highly digestible. It digests slower than whey but faster than casein. Mixes best in a blender.
9. Mass Gainer
Mass gainers are higher calorie than regular protein shakes so they're suitable for supporting mass gain.
Our product is a big thick-shake that can be used for mass gain, a treat, or post exercise recovery (by providing an extra boost of energy).
10. Faba Bean Protein
A more pleasant tasting plant protein. High in protein and similar to pea but with a better texture and functional.
Likely to perform better in recipes and baking applications. It's heat stable too so works well in soups and casseroles.
11. Rice Protein
A very hypoallergenic plant protein for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone with a sensitive stomach.
Rice protein has a thick texture when mixed and a natural 'grainy' texture. For best results mix in a blender with fruit.
