Breakfast just got better! Go have some nice chocolate filled protein pikelets and start the day with gains.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats
- 2 scoops plant based protein (we used faba - banana)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 medium banana
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100ml plant based milk (we used almond milk)
- 1 egg
- NZProtein Chocolate bar
- NZProtein Low-Cal Sauce (maple) to taste
Directions
- Add all ingredients (except chocolate and syrup) to a blender. Blitz until combined and add more water/milk if needed.
- In a medium heat frying pan spoon mixture into pikelet sized circles. Add a singular square of chocolate to the centre of each then cover with a dollop of mixture.
- Allow bubbles to form on the surface before flipping. Ensure pikelets are cooked through before removing from heat (they will turn a golden brown in colour).
- Drizzle with NZProtein maple syrup and other desired toppings and enjoy.
